Review: Miniso Nail Polish

I went to Miniso the other week looking for make-up brushes, yet I ended up with nail polishes.

Miniso is a Japanese concept store pretty much like your Daiso but on a higher-end. If you're familiar with WeDo Shop, they're kind of similar in pricing and target market, except WeDo is Korean.

These were P99 for 2 nail polishes. They can be of different colors, but to be safe, I picked the ones in the same category.

I picked up Camel, Amaranthine, Sky Blue, and goddess.

Camel (11mL) is a tan shade and this has slight shimmer to it. This is an earth tone and I personally like this because it's not too loud but very pretty and elegant on the fingers. It does look a bit ashy in the picture but it looks really nice once applied.

Amaranthine (11mL) is in a shade of red, sitting in between amaranth and burgundy. It's a nice fall color if you're into the season's trend.

Sky Blue (15mL) is obviously a variant of blue. It pales in comparison to actual sky blue on the color chart when applied twice. But this color is buildable.

goddess (15mL) is your usual glitter nail polish. It has lots of tiny glitter flakes that makes the look on the finger translucent.

The colors per category aren't very varied. The group where I picked up Amaranthine only has shades of red and the group from Sky Blue and goddess are pretty much just like that. When I go back, I'll update here if it's just stock issues or the color wheel is really just limited.

These dry up pretty quickly so it's perfect for on-the-go nail painting. However, the smell is pretty strong - like real paint.

Price: Cheap to Mid-Range (P49.5 / 11mL)

Verdict: 3 out of 5

Repurchase: No
